ROLL BAR REAR AXLE SWITCHES (S83/2x OR S83/3x): Removal

NOTE: During removal and installation procedures the numbers in parentheses, within steps, correspond to numbers inside the illustration(s). The word arrow(s) in parentheses, within steps, is used to point out specific components or movement.

1. Put roll bar in up position using roll bar switch in center console. See Figure and Figure .
2. Turn ignition switch to OFF position.
3. Disconnect negative battery cable and cover it.
4. Press at (arrow) and release connector at left (S83/2x) or right (83/3x) axle switch. See Figure . Disconnect connectors.
5. Loosen nuts (2). See Figure .
6. Remove left (S83/2x) or right (83/3x) axle switch.
NOTE: If it appears fastening nut (2) should be reinstalled after the sensor (S83/ x) is removed, do so to ensure component alignment. See Fig 1 .
7. Manufacturer instructs to, retighten nuts (2) to 31-39 INCH lbs. (3.5 to 4.5 Nm).
