ROLL BAR REAR AXLE SWITCHES (S83/2x OR S83/3x): Installation

NOTE: The rear wheels must hang freely (rear axle suspension extended completely).

Set rotating part (1) on BOTH of the 2 axle switches to "ARRESTED" position. See Figure .
Loosen nuts (2).
Install axle switch or switches into position, tighten nuts hand tight.
Grip rear axle switch with hand on lever and position tip (3) against covering (4).
Tighten nuts (2) to 31 to 39 INCH lbs. (3.5 to 4.5 Nm).
Check function of roll bar. Roll bar should actuate. See ROLL BAR SYSTEM FUNCTION TEST (SECTION 19.2/11.1) .
After testing set rotating part (1) back to "FUNCTION"position.

NOTE: If the roll bar has been actuated (crash actuation), the lock must be reengaged by moving the actuating element up before it is possible to lower the roll bar.

Retracting roll bar. For this purpose press switch (S83) to the up position (extend) until the lock catches audibly sounds (5 seconds). Then press the switch to the down position (retract) until the roll bar is retracted.
