Roll Bar: Notes

WARNING: This vehicle is a 2 occupant vehicle. Rear storage area should never be used by any persons. Raising or lowering of roll bar could injure rear seated occupants. DO NOT place your hands between hard top and car body while hard top is being locked or unlocked. DO NOT place your hands near roll bar, while bar is being operated. Serious personal injury may occur.
WARNING: The roll bar is intended to be a safety enhancement to other features designed into the vehicle. No system in any vehicle can eliminate the possibility of serious injury or fatality in an accident. Properly fastened seat belts and child restraints must be used.
CAUTION: Items being transported in area behind seats should be placed in such a manner as not to affect movement of roll bar when being raised.
CAUTION: If indicator lamps in switches are blinking or if the warning lamp in instrument cluster comes on, then a malfunction has been detected. In this case, drive only with roll bar raised until problem has been corrected. Raise roll bar by pressing upper half of roll bar switch. Indicator lamps in switch will go out, however, warning lamp in the instrument cluster will stay on. Perform an inspection of the system.
NOTE: The roll bar may also be referred to as roll-over bar.
NOTE: During removal and installation procedures the numbers in parentheses, within steps, correspond to numbers inside the illustration(s). The word arrow(s) in parentheses, within steps, is used to point out specific components or movement.
