Cleaning the air cleaner element, with perforated plate - wh0932pkw0000x(0932)

All engines - Only in countries with high dust deposits Models 107 from 8/85, 123, 124, 126 from 9/85, 129, 140 to 6/93, 201 from 1/85

NOTE: Under extreme operating conditions such as poor road conditions, high dust deposits, air cleaner elements reinforced with perforated plate should be cleaned during each maintenance service or when the red field appears in the observation window (1) on the maintenance indicator.

Do not attempt to clean air cleaner elements without perforated plate, always replace such elements.

Air cleaner element remove, install.
IMPORTANT Never blow directly into paper filter pockets without maintaining specified interval, because otherwise the glued joints in the filter pockets can tear allowing unfiltered air to be sucked into the engine. Do not wash, beat out or oil air cleaner element.
When installing ensure that rubber sealing element is positioned correctly.
Blow compressed air, max. 5 bar gauge pressure, through element from perforated plate reinforced side (clean air side); hold compressed air nozzle approx. 20 cm away from perforated plate.
Air cleaner housing and cover clean.
Sealing compound on air cleaner element check. If sealing compound is cracked, replace filter element.

check for damage, replace, if required. reset red indicator field by pressing lock (arrow).
