SRS System Operation Check

  1. Turn ignition switch to ON position (No. 1 or No. 2). SRS warning light should illuminate, then go out after 4-10 seconds if no fault codes are present. The following conditions indicate that SRS is malfunctioning, and an SRS fault code may be stored in control unit memory.
    • SRS light does not illuminate when ignition is turned on.
    • SRS light does not go out after 4 seconds.
    • SRS light does not go out after engine is started.
    • SRS light comes on or flickers while driving.
