Removing and installing wiper motor - AR82.30-P-6800B: Notes

	Removal
	Injury hazard  Windshield wiper mechanism can pinch, crush or, in extreme cases, even sever extremities	Always remove ignition key when working on windshield wiper mechanism.	AS82.30-Z-0001-01A
1	Withdraw ignition key
2	Remove cover on air intake		ra83001240140x
3	Remove cover (11)
4	Remove hose from side cover (11)
5	Move wiper system to maximum extension
6	Remove wiper arm	Pull plastic cover (1) downward, unscrew screw (2) and remove wiper arm.
N	Unscrew nuts (3)
8	Unscrew screws (4)
9	Open cable strap (5)
10	Press connector off relay (K26)	Remove connection and disconnection aid and move input (E) in connector frame.
11	Remove wiper motor with gear	Slide wiring harness with rubber grommet through firewall and remove wiper motor with gear.
12	Remove nut (6) and press off crank arm (7)
13	Remove screws (8) and wiper motor
	Installation
14	Move wiper motor to park position	For this purpose connect wiper motor to wiring harness and actuate combination switch once with ignition switched ON until wiper motor is in park position.
15	Install wiper motor on linkage		*BA82.30-P-1001-01E
16	Install crank arm on wiper motor shaft	Position crank arm on wiper motor shaft and install nut (6). Linkage (A) must be positioned vertically over center of wiper motor shaft.	*BA82.30-P-1002-01E
17	Install wiper motor wiring harness	Slide wiring harness with rubber grommet through firewall, route and fasten with cable strap (5).
18	Press connector onto relay (K26)	Complete connection and disconnection aid.
19	Install wiper motor	Position wiper motor, tighten nuts (3) only slightly and screw in screws (4).
20	Adjust distance between wiper gear head and windshield	Adjust distance A only.	AR82.30-P-6400-01A  *BE82.30-P-1001-01A

22	Install wiper arm and screw in screw (2)
23	Install plastic cover (1)	Press plastic cover upward until it catches.
24	Move wiper arm to center position
25	Adjust distance between wiper arm and wiper blade	Adjust distance B only.	AR82.30-P-6400-01A  *BE82.30-P-1002-01A
