Shift Linkage
Disconnect control rod from selector lever. Place transmission lever in "N" (vertical) position. Loosen lock nut at end of control rod and adjust rod length so that a .04" (1.0 mm) clearance exists between selector lever and "N" stop on gate plate. Connect control rod, secure and tighten lock nut. See Fig 1 .
