- Remove the rear under cover No. 1. (See FLOOR UNDER COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the middle pipe. (See MIDDLE PIPE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [H3T] .)
- Remove the Insulator (front No. 1). (See EXHAUST SYSTEM INSULATOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [H3T] .)
- Remove the Insulator (front No. 2). (See EXHAUST SYSTEM INSULATOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [H3T] .)
- Remove the Insulator (front No. 3). (See EXHAUST SYSTEM INSULATOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [H3T] .)
- Remove the Insulator (front No. 4). (See EXHAUST SYSTEM INSULATOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [H3T] .)
- Remove the tunnel member. (See REAR PROPELLER SHAFT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Remove the following parts.PART NAME DESCRIPTION

Step Part name 1 companion flange component - Remove the transfer rear oil seal from the transfer using a tape-wrapped flathead screwdriver.PART NAME DESCRIPTION
Step Part name 1 Transfer rear oil seal Genuine ATF A7 Replacement part 49 H028 202 - Apply transfer oil to the lip area of a new transfer rear oil seal.NOTE:
- Install the transfer rear oil seal straight.
- Install a new transfer rear oil seal using the SST (49 H028 202) and a hammer.
