DTC U2131-00: Can Communication: Communication Error To Electrical Supply Unit (ESU) (Can Bus No. 2)

System malfunction location CAN communication: Communication error to electrical supply unit (ESU) (CAN bus No. 2)
Detection condition
  • The TCM cannot receive CAN signal from electrical supply unit (ESU).

    Precondition 

  • Battery voltage is the standard or more.
Fail-safe
  • Not applicable
Possible cause
  1. Malfunction in CAN communication line between electrical supply unit (ESU) and TCM
    NOTE:
  2. Control valve body malfunction (TCM malfunction) (Refer to [CONTROL VALVE BODY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ] in service information).
Repeatability verification procedure
  1. Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (See CLEARING DTC .)
  2. Perform the following procedure to ensure that the DTC has been resolved:
    • Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on).
