DTC U0164-00: Can Communication: Communication Error To Dash-Electrical Supply Unit (Can Bus No. 2)

System malfunction location CAN communication: Communication error to dash-electrical supply unit (CAN bus No. 2)
Detection condition
  • The TCM cannot receive CAN signal from dash-electrical supply unit.

    Precondition 

  • Battery voltage is the standard or more.
Fail-safe
  • Not applicable
Possible cause
  1. Malfunction in CAN communication line between dash-electrical supply unit and TCM
    NOTE:
  2. Control valve body malfunction (TCM malfunction) (Refer to [CONTROL VALVE BODY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ] in service information).
Repeatability verification procedure
  1. Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (See CLEARING DTC .)
  2. Perform the following procedure to ensure that the DTC has been resolved:
    • Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on).
