- The TCM detects a shift solenoid No. 6 circuit malfunction.
Precondition
- Battery voltage is the standard or more.

| Fail-safe |
- Limits engine torque.
- Inhibits learning control.
- Inhibits switching from engine-only driving to EV driving. (With Mazda M Hybrid boost)
- Inhibits i-stop control. (Without Mazda M Hybrid boost)
- If there is a short to power supply, disables parking lock switching and release.
- Inhibits AAS.

- Malfunction in the following control valve body component parts (Refer to [CONTROL VALVE BODY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
] in service information).
- Shift solenoid No. 6 circuit (including connector/terminal) (open or short circuit)
- Shift solenoid No. 6
- ON/OFF solenoid valve No. 2 circuit (including connector/terminal) (short to power supply)
- ON/OFF solenoid valve No. 4 circuit (including connector/terminal) (short to power supply)

| Repeatability verification procedure |
- Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (See CLEARING DTC
.)
- Perform the following procedure to ensure that the DTC has been resolved:
- Drive the vehicle at 30 km/h {19 mph} or more.
- Stop the engine with i-stop control.
