| Detection condition |
- Any one of the following conditions is met:
- When the selector lever is shifted to the P position, the parking position sensor detects an unlock condition.
- When the selector lever is shifted to a position other than P, the parking position sensor detects a lock condition.

| Fail-safe |
- Inhibits i-stop control. (Without Mazda M Hybrid boost)
- Inhibits AAS.

| Possible cause |
- Control valve body malfunction (Parking lock solenoid valve malfunction) (Refer to [CONTROL VALVE BODY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
] in service information).

| Repeatability verification procedure |
- Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (See CLEARING DTC
.)
- Perform the following procedure to ensure that the DTC has been resolved:
- Switch from the P to the D position.
- Wait for 10 s or more in D position during engine running.
