| Detection condition |
- Any one of the following conditions is met:
- When accelerating from standstill in 2nd gear and the accelerator pedal is depressed, the engine or motor revs and the vehicle cannot accelerate from standstill.
- While the vehicle is driven in any of the following gears, a gear ratio malfunction is determined.
- 2nd gear
- 3rd gear
- 4th gear
- 6th gear
- 8th gear

- Inhibits malfunctioning gear.
- Limits engine torque.
- Inhibits learning control.
- Inhibits manual mode.
- Inhibits switching from engine-only driving to EV driving. (With Mazda M Hybrid boost)
- Inhibits i-stop control. (Without Mazda M Hybrid boost)
- Inhibits AAS.

- Control valve body malfunction (Shift solenoid No. 4 malfunction) (Refer to [CONTROL VALVE BODY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

- Automatic transmission malfunction (ATF leakage from clutch hydraulic circuit in automatic transmission) (Refer to [AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
] in service information).

| Repeatability verification procedure |
- Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (See CLEARING DTC
.)
- Perform the following procedure to ensure that the DTC has been resolved:
- Drive the vehicle. (Use gears from 1th to 2th gear)
