System malfunction location	Error in automatic transmission malfunction monitoring mechanism in TCM
Detection condition	The TCM detects a malfunction in the automatic transmission malfunction monitoring mechanism in the TCM or a malfunction in the microcomputer in the TCM.
Fail-safe	Not applicable
Possible cause	TCM stores following DTCs. P0778-00: (Shift solenoid No. 1 circuit malfunction) (See P0778-00: [TCM (NJ8A (X)- EC/NN8A (X)-EC/MM8A (X)-EC)] .) P0798-00: (Shift solenoid No. 2 circuit malfunction) (See P0798-00: [TCM (NJ8A (X)- EC/NN8A (X)-EC/MM8A (X)-EC)] .) P2716-00: (Shift solenoid No. 3 circuit malfunction) (See P2716-00: [TCM (NJ8A (X)- EC/NN8A (X)-EC/MM8A (X)-EC)] .) P2725-00: (Shift solenoid No. 4 circuit malfunction) (See P2725-00: [TCM (NJ8A (X)- EC/NN8A (X)-EC/MM8A (X)-EC)] .) P2734-00: (Shift solenoid No. 5 circuit malfunction) (See P2734-00: [TCM (NJ8A (X)- EC/NN8A (X)-EC/MM8A (X)-EC)] .) Malfunction in the following control valve body component parts (Refer to [CONTROL VALVE BODY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ] in service information). Shift solenoid No. 1 Shift solenoid No. 2 Shift solenoid No. 3 Shift solenoid No. 4 Shift solenoid No. 5 TCM
Repeatability verification procedure	Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (See CLEARING DTC .) Perform the following procedure to ensure that the DTC has been resolved: Drive the vehicle. (Use all gears from 1st to 8th gear)
