Quick release connector (emission system) No. 3 connection note

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
NOTE:
  • If the quick release connector O-ring is damaged or it has slipped, replace the evaporative hose.
  1. Inspect the evaporative hose and the sealing surface on the opposite side for damage or deformation.
    • If there is any malfunction, perform replacement.
  2. Install the quick release connector in the order shown in the figure below.

Replacing evaporative hose 

  1. Press the evaporative hose into the opposite pipe parallel until a click sound is heard and connect.
  2. Press the retainer down with your fingers.
    • If the retainer cannot be pressed down or the checker tab cannot be removed, press the quick release connector further into the opposite pipe.
  3. Pull out the checker tab by hand.
    • Do not use pliers.

Reassembling evaporative hose (not replacing evaporative hose) 

  1. Press the evaporative hose into the opposite pipe parallel until a click sound is heard and connect.
  2. Press the retainer down with your fingers.
    • If the retainer cannot be pressed down, press the quick release connector further into the opposite pipe.
  3. Press and pull the quick release connector forward/back several times and verify that it is connected securely.
