DTC U2131-00: Can Communication System: Communication Error To Electrical Supply Unit (ESU) (PYUL)

U2131: 00 (PCM (PYUL)) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

System malfunction location	CAN communication system: Communication error to electrical supply unit (ESU)
Detection condition	Communication error between the PCM and electrical supply unit (ESU) continues for a specified period of time.
Fail-safe	Inhibits engine-stop by i-stop control.
Possible cause	Malfunction in CAN communication line between electrical supply unit (ESU) and PCM NOTE: Perform the malfunction diagnosis according to the troubleshooting procedure for the multiplex communication system. (See MALFUNCTION DIAGNOSIS FLOW [CONTROLLER AREA NETWORK (CAN)] .) Electrical supply unit (ESU) malfunction (Refer to [ELECTRICAL SUPPLY UNIT (ESU) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ] ). PCM malfunction (Refer to [PCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ] ).
Repeatability verification procedure	Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (See CLEARING DTC .) Perform the KOEO or KOER self test. (See DTC INSPECTION .)
