DTC U0318-00: Electronically Controlled Brake Unit/DSC HU/Cm Error (PYUL)

U0318: 00 (PCM (PYUL)) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

System malfunction location	Electronically controlled brake unit/DSC HU/CM error
Detection condition	Any one of the following conditions is met: Malfunction in CAN bus communication line between electronically controlled brake unit/DSC HU/CM and PCM Electronically controlled brake unit/DSC HU/CM internal malfunction
Fail-safe	Inhibits engine-stop by i-stop control.
Possible cause	DTCs are stored in the following modules. (CAN driver malfunction) Electronically controlled brake unit/DSC HU/CM (See DTC TABLE [DSC] .) PCM (other than U0318: 00) (See DTC TABLE [PCM (PYUL)] .) Malfunction in wiring harness (including connector/terminal) between electronically controlled brake unit/DSC HU/CM and PCM (See CIRCUIT INSPECTION .) (See CONNECTOR INSPECTION .) Electronically controlled brake unit/DSC HU/CM malfunction (Refer to [ELECTRONICALLY CONTROLLED BRAKE UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ] ). (Refer to [ DSC HU/CM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION] in the appropriate service information). PCM malfunction (Refer to [PCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ] ).
Repeatability verification procedure	Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (See CLEARING DTC .) Perform the KOEO or KOER self test. (See DTC INSPECTION .)
