DTC U0304-00: Selector Lever Error (PYUL)

U0304: 00 (PCM (PYUL)) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

System malfunction location	Selector lever error
Detection condition	Any one of the following conditions is met: The PCM receives an error signal from the selector lever via CAN communication. Selector lever internal malfunction
Fail-safe	The vehicle may be stopped depending on the malfunction conditions. (Switches to N position before stopping vehicle) Inhibits engine-stop by i-stop control.
Possible cause	DTCs are stored in the following modules. (CAN driver malfunction) PCM (See DTC TABLE [PCM (PYUL)] .) Selector lever (See DTC TABLE [ECL] .) Selector lever connector or terminal malfunction (See CONNECTOR INSPECTION .) PCM connector or terminal malfunction (See CONNECTOR INSPECTION .) Selector lever malfunction (Refer to [SELECTOR LEVER COMPONENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ] ). PCM malfunction (Refer to [PCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ] ).
Repeatability verification procedure	Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (See CLEARING DTC .) Perform the KOEO or KOER self test. (See DTC INSPECTION .)
