DTC U0298-00: Lin Communication System: Communication Error Between Dc-Dc Converter And Pcm (PYUL)

U0298: 00 (PCM (PYUL)) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

System malfunction location	LIN communication system: Communication error between DC-DC converter and PCM
Detection condition	The PCM detects a communication error between DC-DC converter and PCM.
Fail-safe	Inhibits engine-stop by i-stop control.
Possible cause	DTCs are stored in the PCM. (other than U0298: 00) (See DTC TABLE [PCM (PYUL)] .) Malfunction in wiring harness (including connector/terminal) between battery and DC-DC converter (See CIRCUIT INSPECTION .) (See CONNECTOR INSPECTION .) Malfunction in wiring harness (including connector/terminal) between IG1 relay and DC-DC converter (See CIRCUIT INSPECTION .) (See CONNECTOR INSPECTION .) Malfunction in wiring harness (including connector/terminal) between DC-DC converter and PCM (See CIRCUIT INSPECTION .) (See CONNECTOR INSPECTION .) DC-DC converter malfunction (Refer to [DC-DC CONVERTER INSPECTION ] ). PCM malfunction (Refer to [PCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ] ).
Repeatability verification procedure	Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (See CLEARING DTC .) Perform the KOEO or KOER self test. (See DTC INSPECTION .)
