Function Explanation (DTC Detection Outline)
WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
- The PCM monitors the oil level received from the engine oil level sensor, and the engine oil level average value is calculated at 5 min or more intervals or when the distance traveled is 100 km {62.1 mile} or more.
- If the averaged engine oil level decreases below MIN mark 2 times in a row, the PCM stores a DTC and turns on the engine oil level warning light in the instrument cluster.
- If the averaged engine oil level decreases below MIN mark 2 times in a row, the PCM stores a DTC and displays the engine oil level warning indication on the multi-information display.
- If the ignition is switched OFF after the engine oil level warning indication/engine oil level warning light is displayed/turned on, the engine oil level warning indication/engine oil level warning light will no longer be displayed/turned on.
- After this, if the PCM determines that the engine oil level is low again when the ignition is switched ON (engine off), the engine oil level warning indication/engine oil level warning light is displayed/turned on.
