Continuity inspection

- Disconnect the negative lead-acid battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
- Disconnect the fuel pump unit connector. (See FUEL PUMP UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [PYUL] ).
- Inspect for continuity between the following terminals.
- Terminals A to D on fuel pump unit side
- Terminals D to E on fuel pump unit side
- Terminals E to A on fuel pump unit side
- If there is no continuity, replace the fuel pump unit. (See FUEL PUMP UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [PYUL] ).
