Inspect Refrigerant Pressure: Notes

NOTE:
- Perform the procedure with the manifold gauge connected. (See MANIFOLD GAUGE SET CONNECTION )
- Start the engine and operate at an engine speed of 1, 500 RPM.
- Perform the procedure while the vehicle is not exposed to direct sunlight.
- Prepare the vehicle as follows.
- A/C switch: ON
- Air intake mode: REC
- Airflow mode: Vent
- Airflow temperature setting: MAX COLD
- Airflow volume setting: Maximum
- Hood: Open
- All doors and liftgate: Closed
- All door glass: Fully closed
- Active air shutter (with active air shutter): Open
- Wait for 8 min after the engine is started.
- Record the pressure indicated on the manifold gauge and ambient temperature for 2 min.
- Verify that the refrigerant pressure on the high pressure side and low pressure side is within the range of the shaded area shown in the figure below.
