Rear propeller shaft installation note (newly replaced)

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
NOTE:
  • A new rear propeller shaft is delivered with a protector equipped.
  1. Install the rear propeller shaft to the vehicle with the protector attached.

  2. Temporarily tighten the front and rear bolts and nuts.
  3. Temporarily tighten the center bearing support bolts.
    CAUTION:
    • If the center bearing support bracket is installed upside down, an abnormal noise may occur. Install the bracket as shown in the figure below.

  4. Remove the protector from the rear propeller shaft.
  5. Shake the position at the arrow shown in the figure below up and down 2 or 3 times so that the center bearing support bolts and rubber bushings are adjusted correctly according to the good example.

  6. Tighten in the order of the front side, rear side, and then the center bearing support.
