Visual inspection

  1. Disconnect the negative lead-acid battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION )
  2. Inspect the CKP sensor. (See CRANKSHAFT POSITION (CKP) SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [PYUL] ).
  3. Verify that there are no metal shavings on the crankshaft position sensor.
    • If there are any metal shavings on it, remove them
