Passenger's side windshield wiper arm and blade installation note

  1. Use a wire brush to clean the serrated connecting part.

    1 Serration engagement area
    • If the serrated connecting part is damaged, replace the windshield wiper motor and link.
  2. Align the passenger's side windshield wiper blade end with the hollowed mark in the ceramic coating and install.
    • If the hollowed mark in the ceramic coating cannot be located, adjust the passenger's side windshield wiper blade end to the position shown in the figure below and install.

    2 Passenger's side windshield wiper blade

  3. Install the nuts.
  4. Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on).
  5. Operate the windshield wipers at low speed.
  6. Turn the windshield wiper switch OFF.
  7. Verify that the windshield wipers are stopped at the park position by the auto-stop function.
    • If the passenger's side windshield wiper is not installed to the park position, change the passenger's side windshield wiper arm and serrated connecting part one groove at a time and adjust it to the park position.
