Inspect Refrigerant Pressure

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
NOTE:
  • Perform the procedure with the manifold gauge connected. (See MANIFOLD GAUGE SET CONNECTION )
  • Start the engine and operate at an engine speed of 1, 500 RPM.
  • Perform the procedure while the vehicle is not exposed to direct sunlight.
  1. Prepare the vehicle as follows.
    • A/C switch: ON
    • Air intake mode: REC
    • Airflow mode: Vent
    • Airflow temperature setting: MAX COLD
    • Airflow volume setting: Maximum
    • Hood: Open
    • All doors and liftgate: Closed
    • All door glass: Fully closed
    • Active air shutter (with active air shutter): Open
  2. Wait for 8 min after the engine is started.
  3. Record the pressure indicated on the manifold gauge and ambient temperature for 2 min.
  4. Verify that the refrigerant pressure on the high pressure side and low pressure side is within the range of the shaded area shown in the figure below.
