P0131-00 (PCM (PYUL)) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

System malfunction location A/F sensor system: Low input
Detection condition Determination conditions
  • Any one of the following conditions is met:
    • The A/F sensor signal circuit voltage is less than the standard.
    • The A/F sensor control circuit voltage is less than the standard.
Preconditions
  • Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on)
  • Battery voltage: 11-18 V *1
  • The following DTCs are not detected:
    • Internal PCM malfunction: P064D-00

    *1: Standard can be verified by displaying PIDs using M-MDS

  • Not applicable
Drive cycle
  • 2
Self test type
  • CMDTC self test, KOER self test
Sensor used
  • A/F sensor
Fail-safe
  • Fixes duty value of A/F sensor heater.
  • Stops fuel feedback control (A/F sensor) of fuel injection control.
  • Inhibits engine-stop by i-stop control.
Vehicle status when DTCs are output
  • Not applicable
Possible cause
  • Malfunction in wiring harness (including connector/terminal) between A/F sensor and PCM
  • A/F sensor malfunction
  • PCM malfunction
