I-STOP WARNING LIGHT (AMBER) FLASHES (PYUL) DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

Step	Inspection	Results	Action
1	VERIFY DTCs Perform the DTC inspection for the following modules. (See DTC INSPECTION .) PCM Electronically controlled brake unit/DSC HU/CM SAS control module TCM Are any DTCs displayed?	Yes	Repair the malfunctioning location according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting. (See DTC TABLE [PCM (PYUL)] .) (See DTC TABLE [DSC] .) (See DTC TABLE [SAS] .) (See DTC TABLE [TCM (PM8AX-EC)] .)
1		No	Go to the next step.
2	DETERMINE IF MALFUNCTION CAUSE IS BATTERY VOLTAGE DECREASE OR OTHER Start the engine and warm it up completely. Idle the engine. Access the PCM PID [BATT_SOC] using the M-MDS. (See PID/DATA MONITOR INSPECTION .) Is the PID value above 68%?	Yes	Go to Step 4.
2		No	Recharge the battery, then go to the next step. (Refer to [BATTERY RECHARGING ] ).
3	VERIFY BATTERY FOR MALFUNCTION Inspect the applicable part. (Refer to [BATTERY INSPECTION ] ). Is the part normal?	Yes	Go to the next step.
3		No	Repair or replace the malfunctioning location and perform the repair completion verification 1. (Refer to [BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ] ).
4	VERIFY GENERATOR FOR MALFUNCTION Inspect the applicable part. (Refer to [ GENERATOR INSPECTION] ). Is the part normal?	Yes	Go to the next step.
4		No	Repair or replace the malfunctioning location and perform the repair completion verification 1. (Refer to [ GENERATOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION] ).
Repair completion verification 1	VERIFY THAT VEHICLE IS REPAIRED Install/connect the part removed/disconnected during the troubleshooting procedure. Has the malfunction symptom been eliminated?	Yes	Complete the symptom troubleshooting. (Explain contents of repair to customer)
Repair completion verification 1		No	Refer to the controller area network (CAN) malfunction diagnosis flow to inspect for a CAN communication error. (See MALFUNCTION DIAGNOSIS FLOW [CONTROLLER AREA NETWORK (CAN)] .) If the CAN communication is normal, perform the diagnosis from Step 1. If the malfunction recurs, replace the PCM. (Refer to [PCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ] ).
