P188A: 00 (PCM (PYUL)) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

| Detection condition |
- The PCM detects that the differential oil temperature is higher than the standard.

| Fail-safe |
- i-ACTIV AWD system control paused (AWD protection condition)

| Possible cause |
- When the transfer oil temperature is higher than a predetermined value, a protective state is established to prevent damage to the system.
NOTE:
- Switch the ignition off and allow vehicle to cool down.
- PCM malfunction (Refer to [PCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
] in service information).

| Repeatability verification procedure |
- Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (See CLEARING DTC
.)
- Switch the ignition ON (engine off).
