Intention of troubleshooting procedure

- Step 1
- Perform a unit inspection of the battery.
- Step 2
- Perform an inspection of the battery and DC-DC converter-related connectors.
- Inspect the wiring harness between the battery and DC-DC converter.
- Step 3
- Perform an inspection of the DC-DC converter and PCM-related connectors.
- Inspect the wiring harness between the DC-DC converter and PCM.
- Step 4
- Verify if the malfunctioning location is the DC-DC converter.
- Repair completion verification
- Verify that the primary malfunction is resolved and there are no other malfunctions.

| 3 | PURPOSE: INSPECT WIRING HARNESS (INCLUDING CONNECTOR/TERMINAL) BETWEEN DC-DC converter AND PCM FOR MALFUNCTION

| 4 | PURPOSE: PERFORM DTC INSPECTION AND VERIFY IF MALFUNCTIONING PART IS DC-DC CONVERTER

Yes | Refer to the controller area network (CAN) malfunction diagnosis flow to inspect for a CAN communication error. (See MALFUNCTION DIAGNOSIS FLOW [CONTROLLER AREA NETWORK (CAN)] .) If the CAN communication is normal, replace the DC-DC converter and perform the repair completion verification 1. (Refer to [DC-DC CONVERTER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ] in service information). |

| Repair completion verification 1 | PURPOSE: VERIFY THAT VEHICLE IS REPAIRED

Yes | Refer to the controller area network (CAN) malfunction diagnosis flow to inspect for a CAN communication error. (See MALFUNCTION DIAGNOSIS FLOW [CONTROLLER AREA NETWORK (CAN)] .) If the CAN communication is normal, perform the diagnosis from Step 1.
