Bolt removal note

CAUTION:
  • When supporting the engine, perform the following procedure to prevent oil pan deformation.
    • When using an engine lifter: Place an appropriate rubber strip (approx. 20 mm {0.79 in} thick) between the engine lifter and the oil pan to support the oil pan.
    • When using a garage jack: Place an appropriate rubber strip (approx. 20 mm {0.79 in} thick) on a wooden board that is large enough to cover the oil pan to support the oil pan.
  1. Support the engine (oil pan) using a commercially available engine lifter or garage jack.
