Engine oil solenoid valve operation inspection

NOTE:

Perform the procedure with the engine oil solenoid valve removed. (See ENGINE OIL SOLENOID VALVE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [PYUL] ).
Perform the procedure with the lead-acid battery fully charged. (See BATTERY INSPECTION )

Connect the battery voltage to terminal A and the ground to terminal B of the engine oil solenoid valve.

Verify that an operation sound can be heard from the engine oil solenoid valve when the battery voltage is applied between terminals A and B of the engine oil solenoid valve connector.
NOTE:
- When the engine oil solenoid valve is operating normally it makes a clicking sound.
- If the operation sound cannot be heard, replace the engine oil solenoid valve. (See ENGINE OIL SOLENOID VALVE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [PYUL] ).
