Inspect Intake Manifold Vacuum

NOTE:

Disconnect the evaporative hose (purge solenoid valve side) connecting the intake manifold and the purge solenoid valve and perform the procedure with the vacuum gauge installed.
Perform the procedure while verifying that the intake system parts and hose are securely installed.
Perform the procedure with the engine fully warmed up.

Measure the intake manifold vacuum when idling (no load).
- If not within the standard, perform the following inspections.
  - Compression pressure (See COMPRESSION INSPECTION [PYUL] )
  - Check valve (between intake manifold and vacuum pump), check valve (between vacuum pump and power brake unit)
  - Air suction
    - Each vacuum hose connecting area
    - Evaporative hose connecting area
    - Throttle body installation area
    - Fuel injector installation area
    - PCV valve installation area
    - Intake manifold installation area
