Inspect Ignition Coil
WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
- Perform a spark inspection to identify the malfunctioning cylinder. (See SPARK PLUG INSPECTION [PYUL] ).
- Replace the ignition coil/ion sensor on the malfunctioning cylinder with the ignition coil/ion sensor of a normal cylinder, and perform the spark inspection again. (See SPARK PLUG INSPECTION [PYUL] ).
- If there is no spark or a weak spark depending on the ignition coil/ion sensor, replace that ignition coil/ion sensor.
- It is unlikely that the 4 coils are malfunctioning at the same time. Therefore, to prevent the replacement of non-malfunctioning coils, perform the above procedure and replace the malfunctioning coil after identifying the malfunctioning coil.
