Teflon seal installation note

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
  1. Apply engine oil to the SST as shown in the figure below.
    NOTE:
    • SST 49 D013 102, 49 D013 103, and 49 D013 104 are component parts for 49 D013 1A0.

  2. Install the SST to the fuel injector from the side marked with the SST number as shown in the figure below.

  3. Insert a new teflon seal to the SST as shown in figure.

  4. Install the SST with the installed teflon seal to the end area of the fuel injector as shown in figure.

  5. Press the teflon seal to the fuel injector side using the SST as shown in the figure below.

  6. Press the teflon seal to the position shown in the figure below and remove the SST.

  7. Install the teflon seal to the fuel injector by hand as shown in the figure below and remove the SST.

  8. Slide the SST to the end area of the fuel injector as shown in the figure below.

  9. Hold the SST at the position shown in the figure below for 30 s or more to straighten the teflon seal.
