CHECK ENGINE LIGHT ILLUMINATES (PYUL) DESCRIPTION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

Troubleshooting item	Check engine light illuminates
Description	Check engine light illuminates incorrectly. NOTE: If there is a malfunction in the engine system, the PCM stores a DTC and illuminates the check engine light.
Possible cause	Emission system malfunction (DTC is stored in PCM) PCM CAN communication line malfunction Malfunction in wiring harness (including connector/terminal) between instrument cluster and body control module (BCM) Malfunction in wiring harness (including connector/terminal) between body control module (BCM) and PCM Instrument cluster malfunction
