DTC P151B-00: IAC System Problem

P151B: 00 (PCM (H3T)) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

System malfunction location IAC system problem
Detection condition
  • The engine rotation speed is less than the target engine rotation speed during the KOER self test.
Fail-safe
  • Not applicable
Possible cause
  1. A/C compressor magnetic clutch malfunction (Refer to [MAGNETIC CLUTCH INSPECTION ] in service information).
  2. Drive-by-wire control malfunction (See ENGINE CONTROL SYSTEM OPERATION INSPECTION [H3T] .)
  3. Malfunction in injection amount measurement system (refer to DTC P0101: 00 ) (See P0101-00: (H3T) .)
  4. Purge solenoid valve malfunction (Refer to [PURGE SOLENOID VALVE INSPECTION ] in service information).
  5. Air cleaner element restricted
  6. Throttle body passage blockage
  7. Engine malfunction (insufficient engine compression) (Refer to [COMPRESSION INSPECTION ] in service information).
  8. Generator control circuit malfunction (short circuit to power supply)
    NOTE:
    • The engine speed increases when an electric load such as a blower fan, rear window defogger, or headlight is activated.
  9. PCM malfunction (Refer to [PCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ] in service information).
Repeatability verification procedure
  1. Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (See CLEARING DTC .)
  2. Perform the KOER self test. (See DTC INSPECTION .)
