DTC P1270-00: Deterioration Of Crankshaft, Pulley, Damper And Rubber

P1270: 00 (PCM (H3T)) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

System malfunction location	Deterioration of crankshaft, pulley, damper and rubber
Detection condition	When the degree of deterioration of the crankshaft, pulley, damper and rubber estimated from the operating condition of the vehicle exceeds a specified value. NOTE: The degree of deterioration of the crankshaft, pulley, damper and rubber is estimated by integrating the load applied to the crankshaft, pulley, damper and rubber. The load applied to the crankshaft, pulley, damper, and rubber changes according to the rotational load, and tends to progress when high rotational speed and high load are used. Crankshaft pulley damper rubber When deterioration is detected, the master warning light is illuminated and a warning message is displayed and DTC P1270: 00 is detected.
Fail-safe	Limits engine torque./Limits the maximum engine speed.
Possible cause	1. Deterioration of crankshaft, pulley, damper and rubber. (Refer to [FRONT OIL SEAL REPLACEMENT ] in service information).
Repeatability verification procedure	Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (See CLEARING DTC .) CAUTION: After replacing the crankshaft pulley, reset the learning value of the crankshaft pulley. Otherwise, the DTC P1270: 00 is redetected. Perform a [RESETTING LEARNED VALUE OF CRANKSHAFT PULLEY] using the M-MDS. (Refer to [ RESETTING LEARNED VALUE OF CRANKSHAFT PULLEY] in service information).
