| Detection condition |
- When the following preconditions are met, the difference between the temperature detected by the refrigerant temperature sensor (integrated with Mazda M Hybrid Boost battery) and the temperature detected by the ambient temperature sensor is outside the specified range, and the difference between the temperature detected by the refrigerant temperature sensor (integrated with Mazda M Hybrid Boost battery) and the saturation temperature calculated from the refrigerant pressure sensor No. 1 output value is outside the specified range continuously for the specified period. Preconditions
- Before starting the engine, leave the vehicle with the engine turned off for 6 h or more.
- Battery voltage: 8.0 V or more
- Refrigerant pressure sensor No. 1: 0.146 MPa {1.49 kgf/cm2
, 21.2 psi} or more
- Mazda M Hybrid Boost battery temperature: -10-45°C {14-113°F}
- The following DTCs are not detected
- Refrigerant pressure sensor No. 1 system: P0531: 00, P0532: 00, P0533: 00

- PCM malfunction (Refer to [PCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

| Repeatability verification procedure |
- Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (See CLEARING DTC
.)
- Replicate the vehicle conditions at the time the DTC was detected using the following procedure.
- Start the engine and stop the engine after 5 s or more have elapsed.
- Vehicle for more than 6 h *1Leave it alone. * 1
: For vehicles equipped with an external engine heater, do not operate the engine heater.
- Switch the ignition ON (engine off) or leave for 1 min while idling.
