P0C32: 00 (PCM (H3T)) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

System malfunction location Mazda M Hybrid Boost battery cooling system: Function malfunction
Detection condition Determination conditions
  • Any one of the following conditions is met:

    Condition A: 

    • Any of the following when the change in the refrigerant temperature in the piping inside the Mazda M Hybrid Boost battery during primary monitoring is less than the specified value.
      • The refrigerant temperature in the Mazda M Hybrid Boost battery piping is less than the specified difference between the maximum temperature from the start of the primary monitor to the start of the secondary monitor and the temperature at the start of the primary monitor.
      • Secondary monitor minimum temperature is specified value or more

    Condition B: 

    • A/C compressor stops a number of specified times or more while Mazda M Hybrid boost battery is cooling

    Condition C: 

    • Refrigerant pressure detected by refrigerant pressure sensor No. 1 is less than specified value

    Condition D: 

    • Refrigerant pressure detected by refrigerant pressure sensor (integrated with Mazda M Hybrid Boost battery) is less than specified value
Preconditions Condition A: 
  • Mazda M Hybrid Boost battery cooling: Operating
  • Engine coolant temperature: 110°C {230°F} or less
  • Refrigerant temperature detected by refrigerant temperature sensor (integrated with Mazda M Hybrid boost battery): 15-65°C {59-149°F}
  • Elapsed time from A/C compressor operation: 1 s or more
  • Average heating amount of Mazda M Hybrid boost battery according to M Hybrid boost battery operation: 200 W or less

Condition B: 
  • Mazda M Hybrid Boost battery cooling: Operating
  • Vehicle speed: 25.1 km/h {15.6 mph}
  • Engine coolant temperature: 110°C {230°F} or less
System malfunction location Mazda M Hybrid Boost battery cooling system: Function malfunction
    Condition C: 
  • Mazda M Hybrid Boost battery cooling: Operating
  • Ambient temperature: 3°C {37°F} or more

Condition D: 
  • Mazda M Hybrid Boost battery cooling: Operating
  • Ambient temperature: 3°C {37°F} or more
Malfunction determination period Condition A: 
  • Approx. 280 s

Condition B: 
  • Not applicable

Condition C: 
  • Approx. 4 s

Condition D: 
  • Approx. 20 s
Fail-safe
  • 48 V power supply circuit is cut off.
  • Engine speed is limited to specified rotation speed or less.
Vehicle status when DTCs are output
  • Not applicable
Possible cause
  • BECM detects malfunction in refrigerant pressure sensor (integrated with Mazda M Hybrid Boost battery) or refrigerant temperature sensor (integrated with Mazda M Hybrid Boost battery)
  • Improper operation of air conditioner system
  • PCM malfunction
