DTC P0A93-00: Inverter Cooling System: Function Malfunction
P0A93: 00 (PCM (H3T)) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE
| System malfunction location |
Inverter cooling system: Function malfunction |
| Detection condition |
- Any one of the following conditions is met:
Condition A:
- When the following preconditions are met, the difference between the estimated temperature of the MOSFET temperature sensor in the inverter and the actual temperature continues to be the specified value or more for the specified period.
Precondition
- M Hybrid Boost relay: On
- Inverter conversion loss: 485 W or more
- Estimated IGBT temperature change: 10.5-29.6°C {18.9-53.2°F} (specified value differs depending on water-cooled charge air cooler coolant flow rate)
Condition B:
- When the following preconditions are met, the temperature detected by the MOSFET temperature sensor in the inverter is the specified value or more continuously for the specified period.
Precondition
- M Hybrid Boost relay: On
|
| Fail-safe |
|
| Possible cause |
- High load condition maintained
- Inverter malfunction (Refer to [INVERTER INSPECTION
] in service information).
- PCM malfunction (Refer to [PCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION
] in service information).
|
| Repeatability verification procedure |
- Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (See CLEARING DTC
.)
- Replicate the vehicle conditions at the time the DTC was detected using the following procedure.
WARNING:
- Observe legal speed limits when driving the vehicle and perform the procedure in a location where safety can be assured.
- To prevent an accident, work with another person when the vehicle is being driven (one person drives vehicle, other person operates M-MDS).
- Drive the vehicle under the snapshot data condition.
