DTC P0010-00: Electric Variable Valve Timing Circuit Range/Performance Problem (H3T)

P0010:00 (PCM (H3T)) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

System malfunction location	Electric variable valve timing circuit range/performance problem
Detection condition	Any one of the following conditions is met: A malfunction is detected in the results of the on-board diagnostic test received from the electric variable valve timing driver. The motor speed signal received from the electric variable valve timing driver is in error.
Fail-safe	Stops activation of the electric variable valve timing driver.
Possible cause	Electric variable valve timing relay malfunction (Refer to [RELAY INSPECTION ] in Service Information). Malfunction in wiring harness (including connector/terminal) between electric variable valve timing relay and electric variable valve timing motor/driver (See CIRCUIT INSPECTION .) (See CONNECTOR INSPECTION .) Malfunction in wiring harness (including connector/terminal) between electric variable valve timing motor/driver and PCM (See CIRCUIT INSPECTION .) (See CONNECTOR INSPECTION .) Electric variable valve timing driver malfunction (Refer to [ELECTRIC VARIABLE VALVE TIMING MOTOR/DRIVER INSPECTION ] in Service Information). Electric variable valve timing motor malfunction (Refer to [ELECTRIC VARIABLE VALVE TIMING MOTOR/DRIVER INSPECTION ] in Service Information). PCM malfunction (Refer to [PCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ] in Service Information).
Repeatability verification procedure	Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (See CLEARING DTC .) Perform the KOER self test. (See DTC INSPECTION .)
