Intake Manifold Vacuum Inspection [H3T]

Remove the check valve (intake manifold side) and install the vacuum gauge. (See CHECK VALVE (INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [H3T] ).
Verify that the intake air hoses are installed securely.
Warm up the engine.
Measure the intake manifold vacuum while idling (no load) using the vacuum gauge.
- If not within the specification, perform the following inspections.
  - Compression pressure (See COMPRESSION INSPECTION [H3T] .)
  - Check valve (intake manifold side) (See CHECK VALVE (INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [H3T] ).
  - Air suction
    - Installation areas of each vacuum hose
    - Installation area of twinscroll turbocharger
    - Installation area of water-cooled charge air cooler
    - Installation area of throttle body
    - Installation area of fuel injector
    - Installation area of PCV valve
    - Installation area of intake manifold
