DTC B1A61-11: Passenger Compartment Temperature Sensor Circuit Malfunction

B1A61:11 (DASH_ESU) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

System malfunction location Passenger compartment temperature sensor circuit malfunction
Detection condition
  • The dash-electrical supply unit detects a short to ground in passenger compartment temperature sensor circuit.
Fail-safe
  • Fixes the passenger compartment temperature sensor input value at 25°C {77°F} and performs control.
Possible cause
  1. Malfunction in wiring harness (including connector/terminal) between passenger compartment temperature sensor and climate control unit (See CIRCUIT INSPECTION .) (See CONNECTOR INSPECTION .)
  2. Passenger compartment temperature sensor malfunction (Refer to [PASSENGER COMPARTMENT TEMPERATURE SENSOR INSPECTION ] ).
  3. Climate control unit malfunction (Refer to [CLIMATE CONTROL UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ] ).
  4. Dash-electrical supply unit malfunction (Refer to [DASH-ELECTRICAL SUPPLY UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ] ).
Repeatability verification procedure
  1. Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (See CLEARING DTC .)
