Remove Connectivity Master Unit (CMU): Notes

NOTE:
  • The Bluetooth® pairing information stored in the connectivity master unit (CMU) cannot be written to a new connectivity master unit (CMU). Therefore, the Bluetooth® pairing information will be eliminated if the CMU is replaced. When replacing the CMU, explain to the customer that Bluetooth® pairing needs to be reset.
  • Depending on the condition of the vehicle, it may not be possible to backup/restore the connectivity master unit (CMU) data prior to replacement. If the backup/restore cannot be performed, the data set in the connectivity master unit (CMU) and the data set in other ECUs will not be consistent. Therefore, the vehicle information needs to be initialized.
