Seat Weight Sensor Inspection [Two-Step Deployment Control System - Us/CANADA Spec.]
CAUTION:
- If any of the following work is performed, perform the seat weight sensor inspection using the M-MDS.
- Removal of the passenger-side seat
- Loosening and retightening of passenger's seat fixing bolts
- Or, the vehicle is involved in a collision
NOTE:
- The integrity of the seat weight sensor cannot be determined from a single part. When inspecting the seat weight sensor, perform the following procedure.
- Connect the M-MDS to the DLC-2.
- Perform the DTC inspection for the SAS control module and verify if any DTCs related to the seat weight sensor are detected. (Refer to DTC INSPECTION
.)
- If DTCs are detected, repair the malfunctioning location according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting. (Refer to DTC TABLE [SAS] .)
