DTC P2090-00: Hydraulic Variable Valve Timing Control System: Low Input

P2090-00: (PCM - VIN Y) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

System malfunction location	Hydraulic variable valve timing control system: Low input
Detection condition	The OCV control voltage relative to the PCM control is too low.
Fail-safe	Set the exhaust variable valve timing control to the maximum advanced position.
Possible cause	Malfunction in wiring harness (including connector/terminal) between OCV and PCM (see CIRCUIT INSPECTION .) (see CONNECTOR INSPECTION .) Malfunction in wiring harness (including connector/terminal) between main relay and OCV (see CIRCUIT INSPECTION .) (see CONNECTOR INSPECTION .) OCV malfunction (Refer to OIL CONTROL VALVE (OCV) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (VIN Y) in the service information.) PCM malfunction (Refer to applicable PCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (VIN Y) in the service information.)
Repeatability verification procedure	Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (see CLEARING DTC .) Perform the KOER self test. (See DTC INSPECTION .)
