P18A4-00: (PCM - VIN Y) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

| Detection condition |
- A condition in which the difference between the target current of the AWD solenoid control current and the actual current is the specification or more continues.

| Fail-safe |
- Inhibits the i-ACTIV AWD control.
|
| Possible cause |
- Differential oil temperature is higher than specified value.
NOTE:
- Switch the ignition off and allow vehicle to cool down.
- i-ACTIV AWD system-related part connector or terminal malfunction (see CONNECTOR INSPECTION
.)
- Coupling component temperature sensor
- Differential oil temperature sensor
- AWD solenoid
- Electrical supply unit (ESU)
- AWD solenoid malfunction (Refer to applicable AWD SOLENOID INSPECTION
in the service information.)
- Electrical supply unit (ESU) related DTCs are stored in the body control module (BCM).

- Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (see CLEARING DTC

- Switch the ignition ON (engine off).
- Perform the DTC inspection for the PCM. (See DTC INSPECTION
