P188A-00: (PCM - VIN Y) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

| Detection condition |
- The PCM detects that the differential oil temperature is higher than the specification.

| Fail-safe |
- i-ACTIV AWD system control paused (AWD protection condition)

| Possible cause |
- Differential oil temperature is higher than specified value.
NOTE:
- Switch the ignition off and allow vehicle to cool down.
- PCM malfunction (Refer to applicable PCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (VIN Y)
in the service information.)

| Repeatability verification procedure |
- Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (see CLEARING DTC
.)
- Switch the ignition ON (engine off).
- Perform the DTC inspection for the PCM. (See DTC INSPECTION
.)
