DTC P111A-00: Cooling System: Engine Coolant Temperature Is High

P111A-00: (PCM - VIN Y) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

System malfunction location Cooling system: Engine coolant temperature is high
Detection condition
  • The engine coolant temperature is standard or more.
Fail-safe
  • Limits intake air amount
Possible cause
  1. Continuous high engine speed condition maintained
  2. Cooling system malfunction (See COOLING SYSTEM CONCERNS-OVERHEATING [VIN Y] .)
  3. ECT sensor No. 1 malfunction (Refer to ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE (ECT) SENSOR INSPECTION (VIN Y) in the service information.)
  4. PCM malfunction (Refer to applicable PCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (VIN Y) in the service information.)
Repeatability verification procedure
  1. Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (see CLEARING DTC .)
  2. Start the engine and warm it up completely.
  3. Drive the vehicle.
  4. Perform the DTC inspection for the PCM. (See DTC INSPECTION .)
